Emmerdale v Coronation Street

Gavin Blyth, writer and producer of Emmerdale, died suddenly on 26 November 2010 with a rare type of blood cancer to devestation of his Family and friends and of course, his team of Emmerdale cast. He has also worked with the cast of Coronation Street, standing proud at the British Soap Awards in 2007 as Corrie won best soap of 2007.

Gavin was always spoke of very fondly by the cast and of course the viewers rapidly increased as the soap made some dramatic changes in it’s Gavin Blyth years.

Danny Miller who plays Aaron decided that they needed something to remember his good friend by and so he organised a footie match with Emmerdale Vs Corrie. Both shows Gavin has worked on.
