REFLECTING ON HIGH ROYDS – THE EXHIBITION – 2008

Social historian, professional photographer and author  Mark Davis, presents a unique collection of evocative images capturing the splendor of the gothic asylum which masked an incredible history.

High Royds exhibition to stay

A haunting exhibition of photographs depicting the former High Royds psychiatric hospital in Menston is to become a permanent feature.

Hundreds of visitors have flocked to see the displays at The Great Little Coffee Shop in Guiseley and High Royds Sports and Social Club in Menston.

Reflecting On High Royds charts the chequered history of the hospital, which was open for just over a century.

It was launched earlier this month by Haworth photographer Mark Davies and has proved so popular that it is now to continue indefinitely.

High Royds is now a housing development.

Mark’s website is at www.highroydshospital.com
