More than 40 people are waiting to find out if their jobs are safe after fire destroyed the West Yorkshire mill they worked in.
Fire broke out at Ebor Mills on Ebor Lane in Haworth on Saturday night.
The 1870s mill is now unsafe and will have to be demolished. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
Sean Parkinson, a director of Airedale Springs, which has been based at the mill for more than 20 years, said management and staff were “devastated”.
The spring-making company, which employs 44 people, said it was trying to fulfil order commitments by outsourcing work to other suitable manufacturers where possible.
Mr Parkinson said: “Our staff are devastated. We’ve had a meeting with them.
“We’re well insured so they’re not going to lose out.
“As for the future we will continue, they have been told that, and as soon as we can set up things we will, wherever that is, however it is, however big or small it might be.”
